Rose Garden is a great lil gem in Dearborn. It's one of my favorite chinese food restaurants in the Detroit Metro area. The food is really good and I love eatting in at the restaurant for the cool 60's atmosphere. Ever see a Tura Satana movie? She would dine here often and that is a good thing! When I was a little girl I asked to sit by the fountain a lot. I'm still tempted now hehe... Some of my favorite things to eat at Rose Garden are: hot and sour soup, EGGROLLS!, beef chop suey, general chicken. that's right no general tso, just general but it's super similar. Alcoholic beverages available too at good prices. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that a few times when I did a carry out order, my order wasnt right. However, the owner is always able to help you out and she works to make it right.

Yet another excellent meal. Gracious staff, excellent food, great prices and super fast kitchen. I love ala carte my significant other prefers the combination plate. We both go home happy and full.

SO RUDE!!!! I called to ask if they serve sushi knowing that they are a Chinese restaurant but I've been to other Chinese restaurants that do serve sushi and the waiter was so rude! His exact words were "you might want to call a Japanese restaurant" never recommending this place to anyone.

I haven't been at the Rose Garden in a long time. Very disappointed with the food and service. Ordered the sweet and sour chicken; there was an aftertaste that was terrible. The waitress switched soup order between me and my friend. I won't be going back.

My family drives 70miles just to dine here. Its always a good day when I know Rose Garden takeout is on its way. The food is amazing and the portions for the price are some of the best I've seen. My family has been coming to this restaurant for over 15 years. As far as Im concerned any other chinese restaurant is subpar. Their eggrolls are some of the best in town and the staff is super friendly and always ready to serve you. The atmosphere hasn't changed for a long time but thats what makes it great. I recommend this place to everyone and always bring my friends.

Over the years, Roses has always delivered great food. Went there last night and it was excellent. We arrived a bit late and the staff was cleaning, so ordering took some time but the food was worth it. The Egg Drop Soup was outstanding. I had garlic chicken and substituted mushrooms for green peppers - no problem. The dish came out excellent.

Our family went to the Rose Garden because of a good reference from a lady at the Yelp.com table while in town visiting the Maker Faire at The Henry Ford Museum. There were four of us in our party; my husband, 2 children and myself. We were very, very disappointed and wished we had tryed the pizza place we almost went to instead. All we can figure after reading the previous two reviews is that these people have never had any better and don't have anything else better to compare it to. As far as the eggrolls went, they should be called bean sprout rolls because that is about ninety-five percent of the ingredients. The were very chewy, and hard to eat. All four of our meals were almost flavorless as if they forgot to add any spices or sauce to them. The sauce in the syrup container on the table was as thin as water and tasteless, also. As to the previous comments: The atmosphere was not cool to us but, dark and gloomy. In addition, we could hear the wait staff arguing with someone in the kitchen, not cool either. We know how hard it is to find a good chinese restaurant because we have tried many and they are hard to come by. That is why we were hopefull after getting a recommendation from someone who frequently gave reviews. Neal W., if youi are willing to drive 70 miles for what the Rose Garden has to offer, you should drive further to our neck of the woods and visit The China Cottage or Chop Suey Carry-out in the Dayton, Ohio area. It will open your eyes to real amazing Chinese food. You won't regret it.

Been eating here at least once a month for over 40 years. Chinese restaurants can be hit or miss. Rose Garden is always a hit. I have taken many other people there (including out of towners), & they all swrar by it too. I don't eat egg rolls, but common consensus is that theirs are the best...especially with a little hot mustard sauce. Staff is always pleasant, & will even give you a lesson in Chinese if you ask nice.

Restaurant seems quite large, it appears that it use to have a liquor license, but no longer. The staff were nice enough. The food was really fast, they must have it already made up and just mike it or something! The eggrolls seemed like they were the best though. Probably will go back again. Love the big red door!
